So Last Night was a really monumental night for me…. and i know some people say “Don’t put all your business on the internet” but fuck it… maybe I can inspire someone… Who knows…. but.. I can say… for about 10 years I have been run by addiction… Whether it be… drug.. alcohol… food.. sex… money….cigarettes… I’ve gone through a bit with each… but I can say… last night was the first time I’ve not been in the BLACK AND WHITE lifestyle… I’m either going all out…. or completely sober… I totally had a few drinks last night and got to that breaking point, where alcohol was starting to kick in and my mind starts getting suppressed and my “conscious mind” is drown out by a substance or whatever I am getting my high from… I felt like getting another drink… and my sober mind buried behind the alcohol was saying “I’m Good”. Usually I would just go with whatever the substance TOLD ME TOO.. Or not think at all…. It was the point I usually just say FUCK IT.. at.. I’ll be smoking cigs… smoking bud… and all the other random shit that comes with it… and i totally overpowered the alcohol and said… “I’m GOOD” last night I learned what it feels like to be in the GRAY area and not let something else control my mind… I’m sorry if you’re reading this and you have never suffered from addiction in your life… but many people do… whether they know it or not….. maybe you wanted a handful of chips and you ended up eating the whole bag because you just went with it… maybe you wanted to have A DRINK and ended up downing a bottle… maybe you don’t feel like you CAN STOP.. you can honestly do anything you put your mind to.. and the moral of this story is…. take control of your mind… no matter the situation… control your mind, don’t let your mind control you… You don’t HAVE to do anything… it’s nice to know that MODERATION and the GRAY AREA does exist…and i do feel like I found it…it only gets easier over time.
